How to stay the course during a Pandemic

We are surging again, America. COVID-19, the worse respiratory illness in over 102 years, is still active and still mean as hell. We absolutely will win the war against this horrible, cruel virus. Come spring 2021— we will have the (95% effective!) vaccines mass-produced and an inoculated population will be free to hug and kiss, attend concerts, bars, clubs, family reunions, dine out, celebrate birthdays and weddings and travel, oh to travel, again like we did before this miserable 2020 descended upon all of us.
However, worldwide, we are nearing one and half million lives lost and those grieving will never be the same. For those who recovered with long term complications, such as respiratory compromise, cardiac weakness, or neurological complications such as trouble thinking, or “COVID fog,” or a permanent loss of taste and smell, 2020 will never fully pass.
Our national numbers are peaking, we are currently in a worse position than we were at the beginning of this pandemic. Hospitals are filling, ICU beds dwindling, and your healthcare team is EXHAUSTED. Physically and emotionally.
I, yet again, am imploring you to stay the course of prevention, we are nearing the end. Do not let down your guard. Socially distance, stay home, mask up and sanitize. Let’s all cross the finish line together.
